What is personal data and what is meant by processing of personal data?

Personal data is any information about an identified or identifiable natural person. Each piece of information with which a person can be identified, directly or indirectly, is personal data. This could be, for example, your name, contact details and any other information that is or can be linked to you, including, email address, location information, login code, health data, bank details, etc.

What falls under processing of personal data is defined as any act or set of acts related to or performed on personal data.

Who is the controller of your personal data?

AbolerIS is responsible for the processing of your personal data as the controller. This means that AbolerIS determines the purpose and means of the processing itself and that AbolerIS is responsible for regulatory compliance. We can be reached via privacy@aboleris-pharma.com.

What personal data is collected by AbolerIS?

The personal information that you are asked to provide, and the reasons why you are asked to provide it, will be made clear to you at the point we ask you to provide your personal information.

  • If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.
  • When you register for an Account, we may ask for your contact information, including items such as name, company name, address, email address, and telephone number

Please note: If you take part in our clinical trial, then different personal data will be collected about you, since it will involve medical and health data for scientific research. You will be informed, promptly and clearly, about what exactly will be collected, how and by whom, through our Informed Consent Form.

Why are we allowed to process your data?

According to legislation, in particular the GDPR, AbolerIS may only process personal data if one legal base applies. AbolerIS applies the following legal bases for the processing of personal data:

A. after obtaining consent from the person whose personal data we process;
B. in the context of the formation and / or execution of an agreement;
C. to comply with the law
D.in connection with the legitimate interests of AbolerIS, where we ensure that the impact on your privacy is as limited as possible.

For example, personal data are processed in the case of:

A. When we receive a request for information from you
B. When we are executing a contract with you
C. For legal purposes (including accounting treatment, tax obligations and obligations in connection with court orders or other mandatory laws and regulations);
D. To keep a database of customers or people we interacted with.

How long do we keep your personal data?

AbolerIS does not store personal data for longer than necessary for the purposes for which the data are processed, and in any case for as long as specific regulations require.

How do we obtain your personal data?

We obtain your personal data because you request information from us, interact with us via our website, email us, phone us or we meet in person. We also obtain information about you when you apply for a job opening at our company or show interest in the job opening by interacting with us.

Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data and its processing:

  • Right of access to obtain information whether your personal data is processed, and if so, information about how it is processed.
  • Right to rectification of inaccurate personal data, as well as the right to have your incomplete personal data completed.
  • Right to erasure (be forgotten) of personal data: you can delete your data under certain conditions.
  • Right to restriction of processing: your personal data will be blocked from normal processing, but not erased. This can happen under certain conditions.
  • Right of data portability where processing is based on consent or on a contract, you have the right to obtain a copy of the data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and the right to send that data to another controller without hindrance.
  • Right of objection to the processing of personal data based on AbolerIS’ legitimate interests.
  • Right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making, including profiling. This right does not apply when processing is based on explicit consent, and AbolerIS does not currently have automated individual decision-making processes.

Right to withdraw consent. Where processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing prior to such withdrawal.
